10th July 2024 - We are now Off Air for the foreseeable future. I would like to thank once again all our Listeners, DJ's, Promoters and the amazing Independent and Unsigned artists for all their great music over the last few years. We hope we have helped even in a small way to showcase and promote great new music, as well as playing great 90s and 00s and keeping you all entertained.
From me Martin Lamb a personal thank you to everyone that’s ever tuned in, requested a track or listened to my shows and the station over the last 4 years. I am immensely proud of my radio station ‘Hive Radio UK’, how far we have come since I started the station as an idea just after lockdown in July 2020 and what I have done with our limited budget and from my home studio here in Manchester. At times it has been stressful, frustrating and tiring, but there has been many more positives. I have made new contacts and as a result new friends, interviewed some great artists, bands and some of my idols. Plus have loved doing live shows. So all it remains for me to say for now is. This has been 'Hive Radio UK' and until we meet again on the radio, goodbye and take care! |

28th June 2024 - Sadly after 4 years we are resting 'Hive Radio UK' from Wednesday 10th July 2024 for at least 6 months. We have experienced a down-turn in our 'Buy Me A Coffee' Promotion, with increasing costs and Presenters/DJ's resting and ending shows, this felt a good time to pause and rest the station. Our website, Social pages and Mixcloud page will remain active for the foreseeable.
Whatever happens in 2025, we would like to thank all our Listeners, DJ's, Promoters and the amazing Independent and Unsigned artists for all their great music over the last few years. We hope we have helped even in a small way to showcase and promote great new music, as well as playing great 90s and 00s. From me Martin Lamb the Station Manager, a special thank you to Wayne M from 'The Beautiful Indie Show', Jimi Fletcher and Mark Drakes from 'Retro Box Office', Andy Brown and Matt from 'Muddy Funkrs', Acer Ben from 'Back 2 The 90s' and Rick Everitt for all their personal contributions to the station. It has been greatly appreciated for all your support and help. For now this is farewell, but hopefully not goodbye forever. See you on the other side and whatever happens, please always keep supporting Online and Independent stations, who are now the local stations that offer something different to the mainstream. |

5th January 2024 - Starting this Saturday 6th January 2024, 'Blast From The 00s' becomes 'Blast From The Millennium' with Gary Hopkins. Playing music from the 00s to today, with features and a modern feel.

19th December 2023 - This Christmas Day catch up with Martin Lamb (Hive Hot Drivetime) and Rick Everitt (Hive Radio UK Breakfast Show) as they team up for a 2 hour show packed full of banter, their annual Christmas Quiz and some more unusual Christmas Songs. Catch the show Christmas Day at 08:55am, 3pm and 9pm and Boxing Day at 11am and 3:55pm. They'll also return this year for a New Years Eve Special show seeing in 2024 from 10pm.
Other Christmas Specials on Christmas Day include Pulsebeat with Wayne Elliott at 11am, The Red Thread with Tim Cooper at 12pm, Gary Hopkins with a Blast From the 90s & Blast From The 00s at 1pm and 2pm and Acer Ben with a new Christmas edition of Back 2 The 90s at 6pm. 3rd September 2023 - Our longest running show on the station since 2020, 'Back 2 The 90s' with Acer Ben is back with a new logo, new jingles and revised format, starting on Monday 4th September 2023 at 6pm.
The first hour still contains those hits and forgotten gems from the 90's, a decade that started over 30 years ago. But hour 2 now features a countdown from the 'On A Pop Tip Club Chart' from 1995, in tandem with BBC Four's repeats of the best music show ever 'Top Of The Pops'. |

20th June 2023 - Just letting you know we are closed for new music submissions for our annual summer break from Friday 30th June until Monday 17th July 2023. Please don't send us music during these dates as emails will sadly be deleted due to the number of submissions we receive each week. We thank you all for your new music so far this year and look forward to showcasing more once we are back and refreshed.

13th January 2022 - A Happy New Year to you all. Well 2023 brings a new show to our schedule - Pluggin Baby with Emma Scott from Sunday 15th January 2023 at 7pm (repeated Tuesdays at 6pm).
Pluggin Baby Radio Show - Hosted by veteran radio presenter Emma Scott of over 30 years experience inc. Kerrang! Radio, Heart, Metro FM and Chiltern Radio to name just a few. Every week she'll feature the most exciting independent talent from her radio plugging business, 'Pluggin Baby', which she has been running since 2013. The show, which is recorded in her own Cambridgeshire home studio will also play established bands who have fired up Emma’s musical passion since she started her radio career back in 1988. Acoustic sets and interviews with familiar artists and classic tracks, as well as introductions to fresh new bands should keep ears and the imagination fired up with its weekly offering. 27th October 2022 - On Monday 31st October 2022 we welcome a few changes to the schedule. These include new shows Fresh Off The Cob showcasing more new music bi-weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 8pm. More details above.
Due to popular demand, we also have an expanded Beautiful Indie Show with Wayne M which is now 2 hour's every Weds and Sat at 6pm. Additionally we have an extra Independent Music Show Tuesdays at 9pm, a Weekend Breakfast Show with non-stop uninterrupted 90s, 00s & New Music from 7am to 9am every Saturday and Sunday. Dance Nation with Muddy Funkrs for the best in 90s & 00s dance is now Weekends from 9pm, with Saturday's new mix being played again the following Friday at 9pm. 24th October 2022 - We launch our new schedule on Monday 31s October focusing on more 90s, 00s & New Music. Over the next 6 months we will be moving away from our tag line of Manchester's Feel Good Music Station to 90s, 00s & New Music.
This means we will be losing some shows, expanding others and gaining some new ones. Our thanks to DJ Og for his Soulful House Mixes over the last 2 years, we hope he will be back on special occasions like New Year's Eve. Also thanks to Sugar Radio's Robin Schulz, Made To Move with Jacob Colon, Uplifting Only with Ori Uplift and Paul Baker for many incarnations of his shows including most recently The Retro years, Paul Baker At The Weekend and The Mystery Top 40. Again we hope to be having Paul involved in our Christmas & New Year broadcasts over the festive season, as it's become an annual tradition. |

3rd Sept 2022 -The Muddy Funkrs are West Yorkshire DJs Matt Holt and Andy Brown. Matt and Andy started working together in student venues and clubs in the early noughties, and they have played alongside the likes of Trevor Nelson, Carl Cox, DJ Yoda, The Cut Up Boys, Zane Lowe and The Cheeky Girls.

13th April 2022 - Martin Lamb recently rested The 90s Chartshow after 5 years On Air and now returns on Sunday 24th April 2022 with his new show called 'The Hive'.
This will play 90s, 00s & showcase the best in New, Unsigned & Independent music on the station. With regular interviews from new artists and his tracks of the week, new music will certainly be well covered. Retro Box Office will return with Jimi & Mark covering a Top 5 from the 80s, 90s or 00s. Flip Side will also return playing a B-Side or different mix from one of Martin's 90s or 00s CD's, your requests and shoutouts & more. |

2nd April 2022 - Our Buy me a coffee page has just launched today and we need you to Support us, to help support you. With over 13,000 listeners per month and over 525k streams on our Mixcloud page, we are certainly becoming more visible & popular across Manchester and beyond.

7th February 2022 - I'm sure many of you have heard the sad news of Channel 5 pulling out of broadcasting 80s, 90s and 00s icon Neighbours in the UK over the last couple of days. It was part of many of our childhoods growing up, and sitting down to watch it every evening at 5:35pm was an institution. From this August it could be gone forever with production due to wind down in June.
It made stars out of Jason Donavon, Kylie Minogue, Guy Peace, Margot Robbie, Liam Hemsworth, Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Valance and Delta Goodrem to name just a few. It has been a massive springboard to many stars careers. Even today it still pulls in over 1.5 million viewers a day to a very loyal audience and gives us unmissable drama on Ramsey Street with all that lovely Aussie sun too.
